Intelligent Tutoring in Serious Games
August 24 & 25, 2006
Welcome
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together researchers
and
educators to
discuss the role intelligent tutoring can play to
promote
learning in the context of serious games. We will take a
learner-centric approach: What are the behaviors of good
learners? How do human and computer tutors promote learning?
How does learning occur in video games? What
implicit and
explicit techniques are used in serious games to enhance learning?
With presentations from many different perspectives,
discussion,
demonstrations, and a trip to Dave and Buster's to
play cutting edge video games, we expect this to be a lively,
entertaining, and productive workshop (continued in the workshop
overview).
